Well spring is threatening to spring and it couldn’t get here soon enough, I am definitely not a winter person. So with the advent of spring I’ve noticed couples shopping for engagement rings and wedding bands. Today let’s concentrate on the wedding band purchase.

A few recommendations that in my opinion will help the process immensely; first is the timing, what we recommend at Shenoa Diamonds is that it is done no less then 3 months before the wedding. The reasons being is that as you approach the wedding date the list of things to-do gets longer not shorter so the things you can check off the do list is highly suggested. Secondly at Shenoa we find that we create a significant amount of custom rings and these can take some time to make, you definitely don’t want them delivered down the aisle do you? So as stated timing is an important issue.

Let’s talk about how you go about choosing a style. The questions you need to answer for yourself:

1) Diamond or Classic?
2) Matching to my engagement ring or something that has nice balance?
3) Narrowing the style (as I’ve mentioned before you will never buy a maybe so if you think maybe I like it eliminate that from your choices).
4) Very important is that as couple you create a budget that works for both of you (you’re a team now this is a great way to start teamwork working).

I always start with the girls first not that the men are any less important it’s just that I’ve found that the ladies have more options and therefore command more time and justly deserve it.

For the men we have beautiful classic bands in Platinum, white or yellow gold as well as some designer lines Verragio, Benchmark, Novell and newly introduced Shenoa Men’s collection. Guy’s you have options also so we’ll pay full attention to you too I just tend to start with the ladies.
