There is magic in this world it is there to be discovered in the way we interact, is there any better then the magic created by love and respect for each other I would be put to task looking for it. The magic in the smile of a child, in the words passed,” I love you Mommy and Daddy”, these magic words started with ‘I DO’.

Great time of the year for Weddings the weather usually cooperates the venues sparkle the couples getting married radiate, I personally will be at the wedding of my future sister in law Kellee, I was honored with designing and producing her beautiful wedding band, here is a wish ‘Have a long and wondrous journey together Josh and Kellee’ the party is just the start it’s the ride that counts!!!!!

Football season is upon us and with it the advent of autumn we get to cheer are favorite teams with joy in the victories and frustration in the loses, but it sure makes for great weekends. Personally I have to say ‘GO BLUE!!!!!!! ‘

I do believe in what I do, I believe that in helping couples choose engagement rings, wedding bands, etc. that Shenoa makes an impact one that can last forever and that my friends is pretty special!!!!

I believe in the greatness in people, that we were all put here to make a difference, we are ALL important and I truly mean that!!!!!!

Well my friends it’s time to go enjoy your weekend enjoy the days in front of you ever the optimist I believe we have great days in front of us!!!!!!!!!!!

And Down the Stretch They Come…………………………

Can you believe it September is upon us?, where does the time go, the summer here in the northeast was absolutely smashing and I regret its passing. So, as not to dwell on regrets, the time has come plan. You may ask yourself what I mean by that, well I’m going to tell you.

At Shenoa Diamonds planning means very different things. I personally plan on being busy in the upcoming months filling those engagement ring orders, though I hate to say it preparing for the Christmas/ Holiday Season takes up great’s amounts of time now. I go over our inventory of diamond bracelets, studs, pendants to make sure we are positioned correctly. At the same time we begin introducing new styles for the upcoming season keeping in mind our agenda of always accentuating the center and making sure the new styles are timeless.

I personally recommend a trip to New York to come visit us this time of year the city shines this time of year and Shenoa Diamonds as well as our inventory shines along with it.

At the same time you should be planning, whether it’s the guy getting his financial house in order to make that life changing purchase of an engagement ring, or the husband that knows damn well that his beleaguered wife deserves something really special this Christmas( I know a few of you myself but I promise not to name names). Planning takes time so start early because the quote,”it gets late early around here” means a lot around here.

So lets get together and start to finish that planning making a great ending to 2010 we all be better for it!!!!!

Happy Fourth of July here’s hoping there are Fireworks in your Future

Happy Fourth of July here’s hoping there are Fireworks in your Future…………….

Great holiday the 4th full of fun, family, beaches and barbeques usually ending in a fun filled evening of fireworks. Fireworks they are great I plan on having my two children sitting on the beach this Sunday and I’m sure they’ll be staring in wonderment at the colors the sparkle, they will jump at the noise and in the end they will smile with joy. The first time, while being the best I still get the thrill and look forward to sharing it with my family.

Diamonds whether they be engagement or diamond rings bring the same fascination, the ladies spend months staring in wonderment at the sparkle; they jump with joy when they receive them, and the smiles they produce are unending. The first time given or received is pure joy, while the thrill never lessens no matter how many they have been given.
So I recommend you shoot some fireworks off in your lives all it takes is some time and money you can start with a firecracker (diamond studs or pendant) and work your way up to one of those ultimate explosions you see over the skies of Manhattan with a well timed diamond ring. You know a beautifully cut diamond sparkles like any starburst and lasts a lifetime.

Just as your first fireworks create a life lasting memory so does a diamond given and /or received!!!!!!

Wishing you all the happiest of Fourth of July and a Happy Birthday to the Grand old USA can’t wait to see the sparkle in the eyes of my children!!!!!!!!!

 The cards were stacked with HEARTS………………………………….

 Well ladies and gentleman the ring pictured today I just finished and it is truly a work of art. Well heart shapes aren’t for everyone the stunning detail of this mounting is there for the eye to behold.

   Let’s talk about the stats the ring is handmade in platinum containing 326 round brilliant cuts (yes that’s 326!!) totaling 2.39cts as well as two gem round cut rubies sitting just under the culet. The diamonds are all gem quality D/E color VVS clarity set individually micro pave style the detail is unparalleled. The center stone is a rare find a perfectly cut 10ct something really special. This ring was created for one of Shenoa’s longstanding special customer let’s put it this way we have most of her fingers covered (thanks Virginia).

 While the picture and the stats say a lot the process in making the ring is what sets Shenoa Diamonds apart from all others. The customer and I worked hand ‘n’ hand with the model maker from the initial drawings through the wax models until the finished product. The devil’s in the details and if you take in all the views you will see the detail, you won’t see rings with this type of workmanship if you stroll the stores of 5th avenue.

   You got to love that quote. It brings life to a simple essence and having a true love for the sea it speaks to me. So lets talk about another of life’s true essences and that would be love and the things we do for it(and in my opinion they aren’t all stupid).

   Those in love have been known to go to extremes, whether it’s searching the four corners or a simple bouquet of flowers, love is professed in a wide array; from the simple act of giving a solitaire diamond engagement ring to the sublime. A tennis bracelet, 5 ct total weight, round diamond studs plus a 3 ct round set in a handmade tapered baguette platinum diamond semi mount (can’t make this up that was one lucky lady’s Christmas). They are both expressions of love, one of life’s true essences.

  I have a dear friend and let’s just say he’s a bit tight, and whenever he buys his wife a gift from me he doesn’t set the budget to high, so what happens is he usually comes back to pick out another gift which is always more expensive than the first. So this year’s birthday gift, a 5 stone diamond band, turns into a handmade antique style diamond ring. It makes no matter to me, this ain’t my first rodeo, so I’m used to it and I always tell Phil that’s how’s it’s going to play out no matter.

  Again, just love playing out and it’s nice to see in a couple that’s been married for 25 years and still acting like they just got together, it’s really quite heartening.

  Then there’s the guy who scrapes together a couple of thousand to buy his girlfriend a diamond ring in the hopes that they will have a beautiful life together. It’s not the amount of money, it’s the love that he feels for this girl that’s the driving force it will conquer.

  I could go on and on, but I don’t wish to bore you , I just wish you all love one of life’s true essences!!!!

Timing is Everything......

                             Timing is everything…………………….

  Well, this Guy proposes to his Girl on the big screen last week at a New York Ranger game. He doesn’t get the exact reaction he was after, unless it was a shocked scream of no and quick exit from the viewing area. See I always felt that the where and how you get engaged is as important as the ring. Let’s face it, the place, the timing will be talked about for years. I have already shared mine with you all (one of our favorite spots with people we enjoyed being around); sadly, the locale no longer exists, but the memory will last forever.

  Life has a few defining moments, giving a diamond engagement ring to that special someone is clearly one of them. I propose to you (tongue firmly in cheek) that it should be as well thought out as the purchasing of the engagement ring. When I work with customers, especially the guys I ask if they have anything special planned, most have and I always ask what it is.

   Being we are located in NYC, the horse drawn carriage around Central Park is a big one, bended knee in front of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center, as well as in a helicopter tour around the island, are popular destinations for the smitten. There is the diamond that dangles like an ornament from a tree, the one that sits at the bottom of a glass of champagne, presented on a silver serving tray at a fine restaurant. Heck, I’ve had guys drop down right in the store. There are the destinations, ones on a secluded tropical beach or the ever romantic Paris France as well at the tops of snow covered mountains in a ski lift.

 These are but a few examples and there are many more. I encourage you to make it somewhat dear to your heart as it will be with you forever, and if you wis,h share you special stories and experiences. We encourage, it bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!
