You only get one shot to make a good impression

Hello all Kerry Ryan here……..

        There are really no second chances when it comes to first impressions so when new customers come into Shenoa & Co it is my object to get it right the first time. Let’s face it I’m not perfect but I’ve learned over the years how to become a better person, better listener, better educator, they definitely a learned traits.

   Promises I make to you and myself is that you will not be rushed I will work with you at your pace whether that is shopping for an engagement ring or creating a custom made piece or just switching the backs on your diamond stud earrings. That’s not to say that if you are in need of something special and you need it quickly I can’t do it, at Shenoa we’ve turned around rings within hours, I’ve also done special orders in a matter of a few days for those last minute shoppers.

 

 What I’m trying to convey is we’re the horse and you’re the jockey YOU set the pace!!!!!!!!

 As you can see in the last few ditties we’ve included pictures with descriptions, hope this helps you understand the pride we take in our work, I always say that all Shenoa customers are walking advertisements and they are, I’m sure any woman who gets a compliment on a beautiful diamond ring is thrilled and we are thrilled when in turn they mention that they purchased the sparkler at Shenoa & Co there is no better recommendation then that.

 On another note, the exciting time of the year is upon us, the Holiday season is breathing down our necks, guys I can’t recommend it highly enough is that if this is the year that that special woman in your life is due that special diamond gift start and end your shopping early. Endings and Beginnings……………………..

      Hey I don’t know if you noticed but summer is just flying by we are already half way through July where the time go. The weather’s been perfect here in NYC (that’s if you like it hot and I’m one of those) It’s been darn near a 10 everyday but I know before we blink autumn will come a calling ending the summer beginning the fall.

 So today we speak of endings to beginnings, we in New York lost an icon this week in George Steinbrenner love him or hate him the man always did what he thought would give him the best chance at winning and his Yankees proved his point so with his sudden ending so starts a beginning for his Sons in charge of running the team their father so coveted, they have a tough act to follow here wishing them all the luck and foresight their father had.

     When a guy gets down on bended knee presents the engagement ring and asks that special lady to marry him so ends one chapter in life and begins a whole new one you are now responsible for two it carries great weight as well as responsibility. They say the fun is in the ride well marriage is one hell of a ride they could name a rollercoaster ‘marriage” and it would be fitting.

     When a newborn comes into a couple’s life so ends the couple and so begins the family. The diamond band given at birth is a badge of honor but I believe there is no greater reward than children I’ve been blessed with two and wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world (though there are days my wife would like a Velcro wall).

     There are so many more we could discuss high school to college, from your parent’s house to that first apartment, from one job to another. There are the milestones in life that should be well rewarded 39 to 40, 49 to 50 etc guys remember these numbers as a jeweler I can attest to the fact that diamond studs or bracelet will lessen the blow.

   So there is an unending list of endings to beginnings these are but a few, kind of like,” when one door closes another door opens” but alas that is for another day……………….

 This was an amazing weekend that just passed, we had Father’s Day, the US Open, Mets-Yankees, World Cup which all had winners. Let’s face it every Dad won on Sunday I know I did golf, beach, barbeque, family and friends the perfect day. An Irish guy one the open (congrats MR. McDowell), the yanks spanked the Mets twice and the usual subjects pretty much carried the World Cup.

 

 You may ask yourself what this has to do with diamonds well this weekend there were a lot of winners too. There were those lucky June brides walking up the aisle a diamond band waiting to be placed on their finger. There are the graduates whose parents presented with a lovely pair of diamond studs as a show of their pride. Those June weddings turn into June anniversaries which in turn become perfect opportunities for that diamond bracelet that the wife so richly deserves. One of the most important winners is the lucky couple that decided to get engaged this weekend countless hours spent looking for that special diamond and one of a kind diamond setting came to fruition with those magical words being spoken,” will you marry me?”.

  So this weekend so full of promise actually came through giving us winners all around. We can’t say that about all of the weekends some just tend to be more magical then others and this was one of those!!!!!!

 Sure beats talking about the whiners but that’s a whole other day!

Congratulations to all the winners and those that surrounded them.

 It’s going to be a fun summer here at Shenoa and we invite all to become part of it. The advent of the warm weather warms everything up here. Also, starting with buy a Diamond Stud for Dad for Father’s day as well as our upcoming anniversary in July and many more specials throughout the summer.

 We are producing exciting new styles of Engagement Rings and Diamond Bands as we see the foot traffic heat up with the weather. Here at the store in New York, we are ready to welcome you and show all we have to offer. I’m sure you can find time and some money to spend for that special lady in your life. If you are the adventurous type sit-down with myself or one of my coworkers and we will design a special something just for you; whether it be a ring, diamond necklace or perhaps a spectacular pair of earrings.   I got home last night and my cheerful daughter Kayla met me at the door (as per usual). She follows me around the house as I adjust to home life, kiss my wife, say a hello to my son and so on. Well, I finally arrive in the kitchen to put together dinner and my daughter asks,” you know what I want for Easter daddy” thinking candy, Easter eggs or those marshmallow chickens I state flatly,” no honey what do you want” Kayla replies,” I want gold and diamonds”. I say,’Huh”, she states again, “ I want gold and diamonds”. To say the least I’m a bit flabbergasted and start chuckling to which I get the response,” and a chocolate bunny too.”

  Thankfully for my business, the education in diamonds starts young. The girls all seem to go to the same school, which is okay by me. Unfortunately, us guys tend to start our education much later in life, usually around the time when we here,” you know Mike we’ve been dating for two years now and my girlfriend Susan just got an engagement ring, and her and Bob have only been dating a year what’s up with that.” At this point Mike has two options, and the smoothest path is to get that Diamond Engagement Ring. The other option can be quite sticky and messy.

  Well Mike, I can tell you we at Shenoa Diamonds are here to help with the education, the process of choosing the right diamond and setting to go along with it. I’m sure Mike is sweating beads and afraid of the unknown (and at this point cursing Bob). No worries, we are real easy to deal with and Mike knows he’s deeply in love with his girlfriend and was just postponing the inevitable.

When Great Minds Meet...

  When great minds meet…………………..

 Its Friday morning, and we are setting up the store. Adam’s putting the finishing touches on the Diamond wedding bands, while gently displaying the Sapphire and diamond rings throughout the window. On the other side of the store Mel’s taking precious care while making sure the Diamond engagement rings and the Fancy colored diamonds rings look perfect(Mel’s a stickler). Nastya just finished the inside showcases, filled with diamond studs and diamond wedding rings and much, much more. We do this everyday at Shenoa & CO. We painstakingly display, then we plan; and the plan is to meet you, to help you fill your needs, to make your shopping experience as flawless as possible, to treat you with the same care we do in setting up the store.

  Somewhere out there on this Friday morning there is a guy named Landon planning to go shopping for a diamond engagement ring he’s done his homework, he knows that Kellee wants a cushion cut diamond set in a platinum with a diamond halo now here’s where the planning comes in. Landon has asked around, got recommendations and is prepared to purchase that diamond ring. Lucky for both of us he was recommended to Shenoa by one of his buddies, who happily purchased his diamond engagement ring at Shenoa Diamonds.

  Lambros has held out long enough; his long suffering wife Rita has put up with his grumpiness and his golf playing(though I hear she encourages it as it gets him out of the house and out of her hair) so for that special birthday he is going to buy that Handmade 5 stone diamond band that she has been yearning for. Lucky for him, his golf partner’s a jeweler so his planning ends there, lucky for me is that I’m his golf partner and I’ll steer my good friend in the right direction and at the same time get Rita that gorgeous ring she covets.
 
John and Lois have twin granddaughters about to receive confirmation and plan on getting them diamond crosses for this special occasion. Their planning starts and ends with Shenoa & CO, as they have shopped here before and have always been thrilled with the outcome.
 

What I’m driving at is these are all great minds which will all meet at Shenoa & CO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
