It’s definitely hip to be square!!!

As you can see by the Signature Series featured this week; square is hip. The diamond shape pictured in this one is a square Radiant Cut a beautiful dazzling diamond shape that truly sparkles and speaks for itself. There are other square shaped diamonds and they are the; Princess Cut, absolutely square cut for brilliancy and the Asscher Cut which is a square emerald-cut, step faceted for a more classic cut; the cut of Kings as well as a square Cushion Cut.

I’ll let you in on a little secret; my wife picked out a Princess cut as her wish diamond, while she got the exact style she preferred, the center is actually a square radiant cut, it is my opinion that it is slightly more brilliant and the cut corners are easier for my setters to work with. I’m sure she’ll forgive my transgression but I was the one paying and felt it was a more beautiful ring while maintaining the look she desired. I’ll let you know how this confession turns out at a later date.

So guys and girls, don’t rule out any shape when diamond shopping, you all know my number one rule ‘Let individuality speak for itself’. We don’t all wear the same clothes, cut our hair the same way or drive the same car. The same can be said for the diamond you wear, it doesn’t matter what Aunt Edna has or what your best friend Madison just received, what you want and get is your choice and yours only (just give the boyfriend a little leeway).

The square shape works with many styles of settings and compliments the finger nicely. I’ll let you in on a little secret; it’s less expensive then the round so you can go bigger (Hoo Hoo!!!) or better quality and not have to spend more and that makes the guys happy (Hoo Hoo!!!). The square is also an elegant cut that is timeless which is quite important, because some shapes go in and out of style.

So let the masses know: It’s hip to be Square!!!

Welcome to all the new and of course our old fans of Shenoa Diamonds. We are excited and honored to have you aboard and we welcome all the feedback that is starting to come our way.

The summer months are warming up (well some parts it may well too in NYC if it ever stops raining) and so are the happenings at Shenoa Diamonds.
