Well, the winter from hell continues looking at more then a foot of snow here at Shenoa Diamonds and in NYC I've really had enough, so lets think warmer thoughts. Ever the optimist. I'll share some with you.

I hope that spring comes sooner rather then later; tired of shoveling it, stepping in it and sloshing through it bring on the warm weather please!!!

I hope for all that the find that special someone as I have found mine (humor me Jackie) when you do life tends to complete itself.

I hope that this spring brings together another successful bridal season, when April amps up. So do the requests for Engagement rings, wedding bands it is truly an exciting time in the diamond business.

I hope that all the weddings being planned, come off flawlessly. We at Shenoa & CO are her to fulfill our part of the bargain.

I hope for those about to pop the question, that the answer is always a resounding YES!!!!!

I hope that those that want to fall in love do; and that those who are, their love continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

I hope (and believe) that for those that are waiting for that special ring, that this is the year your dreams come true.

Eva La Rue and Joe Cappuccio announce Engagment, ring by Shenoa & Co.

We at Shenoa & CO were recognized in the February 22, 2010 issue of ‘Life and Style’ magazine. The Lovely and talented actress EVA LA RUE was featured in an article titled “Celebrity Bridal Bling” wearing a gorgeous diamond engagement ring purchased and given to her by the charming Joe Cappuccio, and designed and produced by Shenoa & CO. The sparkler contains a high quality, cushion cut diamond, set in a platinum and rose gold handmade ring, containing over 1.25ct of round brilliant cuts as well as 6 fancy intense pink round brilliants to add intriguing highlights, for a total of well over 5 carats of diamonds. The diamonds are set micro pave style and the rings took weeks to produce. Joe Cappuccio worked painstakingly with Kerry Ryan of Shenoa & CO to produce this custom-made, spectacular ring that he gave to his fiancé Eva on a romantic trip abroad.

Timing is Everything......

                             Timing is everything…………………….

  Well, this Guy proposes to his Girl on the big screen last week at a New York Ranger game. He doesn’t get the exact reaction he was after, unless it was a shocked scream of no and quick exit from the viewing area. See I always felt that the where and how you get engaged is as important as the ring. Let’s face it, the place, the timing will be talked about for years. I have already shared mine with you all (one of our favorite spots with people we enjoyed being around); sadly, the locale no longer exists, but the memory will last forever.

  Life has a few defining moments, giving a diamond engagement ring to that special someone is clearly one of them. I propose to you (tongue firmly in cheek) that it should be as well thought out as the purchasing of the engagement ring. When I work with customers, especially the guys I ask if they have anything special planned, most have and I always ask what it is.

   Being we are located in NYC, the horse drawn carriage around Central Park is a big one, bended knee in front of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center, as well as in a helicopter tour around the island, are popular destinations for the smitten. There is the diamond that dangles like an ornament from a tree, the one that sits at the bottom of a glass of champagne, presented on a silver serving tray at a fine restaurant. Heck, I’ve had guys drop down right in the store. There are the destinations, ones on a secluded tropical beach or the ever romantic Paris France as well at the tops of snow covered mountains in a ski lift.

 These are but a few examples and there are many more. I encourage you to make it somewhat dear to your heart as it will be with you forever, and if you wis,h share you special stories and experiences. We encourage, it bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!

Plan for your Wedding ahead of time and keep everyone happy.

 A long list gets longer…………………… 

  I work with couples and customers, both men and women on their own, looking for wedding bands or perhaps a gift for the spouse for the wedding day, and I give all the same advice. That is and this is important, ‘ The things on the to do list that you can get done, get done because you’ll find as you get closer to the wedding date the list of things to do gets longer, not shorter ‘

   What I mean by this is you are pulled in many directions before that big day arrives. There’s the flowers, the venue, the caterer, the entertainment, the dreaded seating arrangement, I could go on and on; and the wedding bands are very much a part of this list.

  So, let’s talk about the bands, as far as timeframe I recommend you make the decision no later then 3 months before the wedding date. This allows you to move on to other pressing issues (don’t forget who gets to sit next to Aunt Edna or crazy uncle Ernie), and I find that we are doing quite an amount of custom work these days, and typically that could take 3- 4weeks to complete. The one thing I have a tough time doing is delivering down the aisle, as most weddings are on weekends and mine are quite busy. So, I implore you to keep these time frames in mind.

  That’s not to say that we at Shenoa Diamonds aren’t prepared to work in a short timeframe. We have a wide and complete selection of diamond bands, diamond eternity rings, as well as the classic and designed styles that our customers request. So putting together choices days, or for that matter hours, before the big day is never a problem, it’s just not the recommended way. 

 So in short friends, get the bands done three (3) months before the wedding date and you’ll have plenty of time to fix up Edna and Ernie!!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to All from Shenoa & Co.

 Who Dat Valentine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the Super bowl is over, congratulations to the city and Team from New Orleans; Well deserved on both fronts. They are surely no longer the AINTS. Well guys, you all got your ya yas out; Hope you all did. Well, the testosterone should be evening out now, so it’s time to concentrate on the little lady. Let’s face it, she’s suffered through our screaming and yelling at the flat screen or perhaps live at the games, so it time guys.

 'What time?', you may ask; Well its Valentine's Day guys, time to even up with the ladies in our lives, and I have just the remedy.

Here at Shenoa Diamonds we are fully stocked with diamonds and diamond jewelry for the little lady. So for the guy who won his office pool, those diamond studs that you looked at during Christmas, well if they are not available, I’m sure we could find a pair quite similar.

That diamond ring that your wife keeps on her wish list is ready to be boxed, wrapped and bowed. Just needs you to pull the trigger; one shot two hits!!!!!!

She just happens to be a Colts fan, cheer her up with that diamond bracelet that you’ve been vacillating over, it will make you both happy.

Listen, I’m just trying to help and I have yet to steer a fellow in the wrong direction. I have always found diamonds to be fail safe, especially during romantic holidays and special occasions. Valentine’s Day should be more than a box of chocolate, a dozen roses or a mass produced greeting card; It should be something from the heart, we got the arrows here, come pick one out and you’ll both win!!!!!!!!
