  I got home last night and my cheerful daughter Kayla met me at the door (as per usual). She follows me around the house as I adjust to home life, kiss my wife, say a hello to my son and so on. Well, I finally arrive in the kitchen to put together dinner and my daughter asks,” you know what I want for Easter daddy” thinking candy, Easter eggs or those marshmallow chickens I state flatly,” no honey what do you want” Kayla replies,” I want gold and diamonds”. I say,’Huh”, she states again, “ I want gold and diamonds”. To say the least I’m a bit flabbergasted and start chuckling to which I get the response,” and a chocolate bunny too.”

  Thankfully for my business, the education in diamonds starts young. The girls all seem to go to the same school, which is okay by me. Unfortunately, us guys tend to start our education much later in life, usually around the time when we here,” you know Mike we’ve been dating for two years now and my girlfriend Susan just got an engagement ring, and her and Bob have only been dating a year what’s up with that.” At this point Mike has two options, and the smoothest path is to get that Diamond Engagement Ring. The other option can be quite sticky and messy.

  Well Mike, I can tell you we at Shenoa Diamonds are here to help with the education, the process of choosing the right diamond and setting to go along with it. I’m sure Mike is sweating beads and afraid of the unknown (and at this point cursing Bob). No worries, we are real easy to deal with and Mike knows he’s deeply in love with his girlfriend and was just postponing the inevitable.

  So this ditty’s motto should be, At Shenoa & CO relax don’t sweat the small stuff we’ll take care of that for you , you just take care of the rest of your lives!!!!!!!

  What is a diamond???????

  This is a question that depending on the individual can come with many answers and meanings let’s take a look at a few:

• Technical- coal that is formed under high pressure deep in the bowels of the Earth then brought to the surface via volcanoes
• Mysterious- for time memoriam sought after by Kings and Rulers and great powers to horde and bring wealth
• Haunting - some have been said to been cursed (the Hope Diamond) the owner falling to foul deeds and terrible endings, a terrible burden
• Dangerous – lives and fortunes have been lost just to bring diamonds to the surface, wars have been won and lost just to have them in one’s possession
• Romantic – Love has been spread by the simple deed of a diamond given
• Forever – handed down from generation to generation passed from Mother to Daughter
• Exhilarating – breathe can be taken away tears of joy can form by just being the person who receives the diamond
• Hoped for – there are many out there who’s main thought is the hope that they will be given one soon

   So in review a diamond is technically mysterious while being dangerously haunting forever romantic exhilaratingly hoped for!!!!!!!

A Happy St Patrick’s to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Hello me wee leprechaun Friends Kerry Michael Ryan here…………………..

  Being Irish myself and a traditionalist, I am wishing you all a very Happy St Patrick’s day. It is a day that inspires smiles and good cheer and I recommend to all our Shenoa friends the same. While we are not all Irish, it’s not hard to share in a day when we can all act like we are.

   It’s a day inspired by great deeds and should be celebrated in kind, on a day that the many parade up 5th Avenue dancing many a jig along the way. A day when I personally see such smiles and loved shared by all when you can’t help but to hum an Irish tune, my hope is that you too dance a jig, whistle a tune, kiss a loved one and bring a smile to someone special to you.

  So, on St Patty’s day I invite you to shine as bright as a Diamond and to sparkle brightly as any gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     ‘ May the road rise to meet you

      May the wind be always at your back

      A warm sun in your face

      And may a gentle rain fall upon your fields…………….

   And most importantly……………………..

 May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows your dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  (in my case pray for a solid 45 minutes to a hour head start)

When Great Minds Meet...

  When great minds meet…………………..

 Its Friday morning, and we are setting up the store. Adam’s putting the finishing touches on the Diamond wedding bands, while gently displaying the Sapphire and diamond rings throughout the window. On the other side of the store Mel’s taking precious care while making sure the Diamond engagement rings and the Fancy colored diamonds rings look perfect(Mel’s a stickler). Nastya just finished the inside showcases, filled with diamond studs and diamond wedding rings and much, much more. We do this everyday at Shenoa & CO. We painstakingly display, then we plan; and the plan is to meet you, to help you fill your needs, to make your shopping experience as flawless as possible, to treat you with the same care we do in setting up the store.

  Somewhere out there on this Friday morning there is a guy named Landon planning to go shopping for a diamond engagement ring he’s done his homework, he knows that Kellee wants a cushion cut diamond set in a platinum with a diamond halo now here’s where the planning comes in. Landon has asked around, got recommendations and is prepared to purchase that diamond ring. Lucky for both of us he was recommended to Shenoa by one of his buddies, who happily purchased his diamond engagement ring at Shenoa Diamonds.

  Lambros has held out long enough; his long suffering wife Rita has put up with his grumpiness and his golf playing(though I hear she encourages it as it gets him out of the house and out of her hair) so for that special birthday he is going to buy that Handmade 5 stone diamond band that she has been yearning for. Lucky for him, his golf partner’s a jeweler so his planning ends there, lucky for me is that I’m his golf partner and I’ll steer my good friend in the right direction and at the same time get Rita that gorgeous ring she covets.
 
John and Lois have twin granddaughters about to receive confirmation and plan on getting them diamond crosses for this special occasion. Their planning starts and ends with Shenoa & CO, as they have shopped here before and have always been thrilled with the outcome.
 

What I’m driving at is these are all great minds which will all meet at Shenoa & CO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all about You.... The Customer

  It’s all about YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    When I’m out at other stores, I always observe the sales and support staff and how they interact with their customers. I’ve found that one can learn quite a bit from these observations. Recently, I’ve been to two well known businesses, one a Home improvement store and the other a Retail cell phone outlet, and they had decidedly different tact. At the home improvement store, the staff I find is always more then helpful, whether it’s with information, finding the product you’re looking for, or just checking out. Conversely, at the Cell phone store I’ve always found the sales staff aloof and somewhat stand offish. Sadly I’ve also seen this in jewelry stores; all I have to do is walk into a store on 5th Avenue to see a customer treated rudely.

   Well, not At Shenoa Diamonds. Here it is our pledge to treat all customers with  all the respect they deserve, whether you are checking us out online or walking through the door, it is our goal to make your experience truly a heartening experience. I don’t care if you are looking for a replacement backing for your diamond stud earring or are prepared to buy a 3 carat Round diamond. My pledge to you is you will be treated absolutely the same no ifs, ands or buts. I prefer the down home approach, just the way I prefer to be treated, and try to convey that to my coworkers. Let’s face it, we may not always bring our A game, but at Shenoa Diamonds we try to be 100%.

  The customer is what we are all about and we want your shopping experience to come off flawlessly. Hey, I’ve always said a happy customer tells 10 people about his/her experience, an unhappy one tells 50, so we better be good. So stop on by, let’s talk about that diamond engagement ring, that gift for mom for Mother’s Day (you know she wants those diamond studs) or that kink you want taken out of that gold chain that you cherish from your grandparents.

Anticipation is making me great..... the season is almost here

Anticipation is making me great……………………………

Well, March has thankfully arrived, and here at Shenoa Diamonds we anticipate a booming bridal season; and in anticipation, I am introducing new and exciting styles. As most weddings are between April and September, and most engagements, last a year, it means that most engagement rings are given between April and September. So, that is the main reason we tend to introduce new styles at this time of the year.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the new micro pave style or the twist we’ve added to the classic three stone engagement ring. We try to stay cutting edge. If you have time to travel and visit us here in New York, myself or one of my co-workers would be thrilled to show you what’s new. We have a great staple of current and classic styles that cover all spectrums something for everybody. From the loose diamond inventory- semi mounts- finished rings, I would be amazed if you couldn’t find something to thrill you and you fiancé.

Our custom design department is available 7 days a week to put together that really special handmade ring, I’ve already discussed with you how I work with most customers designing individual rings that speak of one’s individual personality. We are prepared and ready to deliver. Just writing this gets my blood flowing, gets my brain working overtime, gets me ready to work with you.
