  Here are some common (and not so common) questions heard over time at Shenoa and there answers.  

  What is Shenoa’s Diamonds specialty?  

  Get this all the time and to be honest with you we focus on Bridal(engagement rings, wedding bands, a strong inventory of loose GIA certified diamonds) and Gift(diamond studs, bracelets, tennis necklaces, fashion diamond earrings and rings, precious stones sapphire, emerald , ruby) jewelry.

It’s derived from an American Indian term and stands for ‘Peace of Mind’ just what we wish to give to all our customers What if she says ‘NO’?     Well gentleman I handle this question always the same and my standard answer is: If you’re not sure of the answer to the question you are about to ask the lady in your life you should beat a florist buying flowers (a heck of a lot less expensive and if they are thrown back at you they wont hurt as much).

Hands down it’s the round cut and after that are the cushion, princess, and radiant shapes.   What is the most/least important C(from the four C’s)?   With no argument I consider the most important C to be cut, cut and cut alone will tell you the brilliancy of the diamond, while the least important is Clarity, pay for what you see not what you don’t.

What are the two most asked questions of newly engaged couples?  

 The girlfriends will always ask how big is it(I’m talking diamond here) and the guys will always ask how much, everyone else will just tell you how beautiful the engagement ring is.  

How much time do we need before we order the wedding bands?  

I always recommend you do it no later than 3 months before the wedding, trust me as the big day approaches the list of things to do gets longer not shorter get, cross the things off the list you can.  

 What do you most enjoy about your work?  

 The reward I get in a job well done, the smiles and love I’ve seen over the years keeps me coming back.  

What’s an Irish guy doing in the jewelry business?  

 Well, that answer will have to wait for another day. Trust me it’s interesting, convoluted and long.

Autumn is Upon Us

Hello all Kerry Ryan here…….

       Autumn is upon us……………………..

  Soon the leaves will turn color there will be frost on the pumpkin, children will turn their thoughts to Halloween costumes (soon to be followed by Christmas). New brides are now new wives, couples are starting families (congratulations to the Sobols on the arrival of baby Aliza; she is beautiful). There are more celebrations to join in Fall weddings, anniversaries, birthdays; time marches on and we march with it.

  As I’ve stated before at Shenoa we are always planning designing and adding to our stock new and exciting items, we recently added a new line of fashion earring and rings they are featured in our window; stop by and have a look. I can’t….. I won’t…… I want……. Really just concerned with the ‘I DO’S

We at Shenoa are here to help. To answer any and all questions the toughest ones to answer are the ones that go unasked so please I implore you ask away….

There is magic in this world it is there to be discovered in the way we interact, is there any better then the magic created by love and respect for each other I would be put to task looking for it. The magic in the smile of a child, in the words passed,” I love you Mommy and Daddy”, these magic words started with ‘I DO’.

Great time of the year for Weddings the weather usually cooperates the venues sparkle the couples getting married radiate, I personally will be at the wedding of my future sister in law Kellee, I was honored with designing and producing her beautiful wedding band, here is a wish ‘Have a long and wondrous journey together Josh and Kellee’ the party is just the start it’s the ride that counts!!!!!

Football season is upon us and with it the advent of autumn we get to cheer are favorite teams with joy in the victories and frustration in the loses, but it sure makes for great weekends. Personally I have to say ‘GO BLUE!!!!!!! ‘

I do believe in what I do, I believe that in helping couples choose engagement rings, wedding bands, etc. that Shenoa makes an impact one that can last forever and that my friends is pretty special!!!!

I believe in the greatness in people, that we were all put here to make a difference, we are ALL important and I truly mean that!!!!!!

And Down the Stretch They Come…………………………

Can you believe it September is upon us?, where does the time go, the summer here in the northeast was absolutely smashing and I regret its passing. So, as not to dwell on regrets, the time has come plan. You may ask yourself what I mean by that, well I’m going to tell you.

At Shenoa Diamonds planning means very different things. I personally plan on being busy in the upcoming months filling those engagement ring orders, though I hate to say it preparing for the Christmas/ Holiday Season takes up great’s amounts of time now. I go over our inventory of diamond bracelets, studs, pendants to make sure we are positioned correctly. At the same time we begin introducing new styles for the upcoming season keeping in mind our agenda of always accentuating the center and making sure the new styles are timeless.

I personally recommend a trip to New York to come visit us this time of year the city shines this time of year and Shenoa Diamonds as well as our inventory shines along with it.

At the same time you should be planning, whether it’s the guy getting his financial house in order to make that life changing purchase of an engagement ring, or the husband that knows damn well that his beleaguered wife deserves something really special this Christmas( I know a few of you myself but I promise not to name names). Planning takes time so start early because the quote,”it gets late early around here” means a lot around here.

So lets get together and start to finish that planning making a great ending to 2010 we all be better for it!!!!!
